This course offers an awareness of the issues involved with fall protection, specifically on the new changes to OSHA Walking Working Surfaces 1910 standard, effective January 17, 2017.
The final rule adds requirements that employers ensure workers who use personal fall protection and work in other specified high hazard situations receive training that includes a combination of classroom study and practical hands on training specifically as it relates to "installing, inspecting, operating, maintaining, and disassembling the personal fall protection systems." A focus on best practices in fall protection and the need to protect workers at height highlights this informative training course. Participants are introduced to the legislation governing fall protection as well as the components of a fall protection system including body support, anchorages, connectors, and rescue.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded OSHA and ANSI requirements as an Authorized Person.
For a limited time, this four-hour class is free – that’s a $300 value!
In order to attend, you must register for the PPE Essentials class. These classes will follow the fall protection competent person class and can be added on at the time of registration, or taken separately.
